Field Notes

Description:

White/semi translucent insect (6 legs), antennae that were about the same length as it's body (.5"), two tails on its butt, black eyes.

Habitat:

I found this in my apartment in Brooklyn

Notes:

It may be a mother bug because it had weird sac like structures on its back?

Species ID Suggestions

German Cockroach

Blattella germanica

This is a freshly-molted adult, and the structures on its back are its wings, which have not yet unfolded, dried, and hardened. It literally shed (molted) minutes before you took this picture.
Hello. I moved your spotting to the Arthropods category. :-)
