Description:

Hovering fly with fore-legs modified for digging. It burrowed into a hole and spent time in and came out about five minutes later. It is very likely the hole is to house its eggs.
In the clip, it is seen scattering sand over the hole after coming out.

Habitat:

Sandy area.
