Description:

Tree is unhealthy
Bark is discoloured and turning black
Majority of tree is infected
Unable to record foliage due to season
Approximately 3.3 meters tall

Habitat:

Park area
Full sun
Mulch
Irrigated
Subject to Alberta weather and conditions

Notes:

Other elm trees in area are also effected by same problem
Presumed to be European elm scale or fungus - caused by harsh winters and wet springs
