Field Notes

Description:

I planted these last fall and the cabbage plants lasted through about 10 or 11 snows with no protection. If you are planning on growing anything during the winter i would reccomend something not so green like this red cabbage. They pretty much froze over during the cold days(like less than 15 degrees!) And now there growing like crazy with this spring weather. I was very suprised to see that the cabbage survived the cold twice as well as our rosemary, which is supposed to be evergreen.

Habitat:

Back yard with wind chill protection from a large bush, a house and a tree
