Description:

Always have hard time when it come to identifying fritillaries - here is an unknown fritillary (I thought of Brenthis dafne... ) , medium sized butterfly - about 4-4.5 cm in wingspan.

Habitat:

Seen on edges of marshy area in Geneva lake valley; at the feet of Jura range.

Species ID Suggestions

To me it looks like a mix between Boloria selene and B. euphrosyne, Brenthis daphne has less similarities as far as I can see, https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/54068-Boloria-selene, https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/132997-Boloria-euphrosyne,
