Field Notes

Description:

This bug was large and noises. In length it was about 3-4inches. The colors were vibrant!

Habitat:

Suburban pond

Notes:

There were two of them chasing each other. One of them got curious and came to check me out, twice! I was half scared and half really exited.

the thoracic stripes on the top and side of the thorax suggests its a Blue-eyed Darner. Nice shot in flight.
Thanks! It was pure luck I caught it mid flight, it is very hard to get the focus to be on the dragonfly and not the background.
