Description:

Very large. Found in parking lot

Habitat:

Usualy in freshwater

Notes:

Preys on insects and small fish. Has pinchers and a built in snorkle and beak. About 4-5 inches long

Species ID Suggestions

Probably Lethocerus americanus based on the location. Love these little (I use that term loosely haha) guys! I had one as a class mascot in my animal and environmental science class.
Some people call them toe biters. Oh and they can fly but they dont usualy.
WOW! 4-5 inches long. Makes me not want to go swimming.
