Habitat:

Afrotropical ecozone. This was seen in primary forest in central Uganda.

Notes:

Possibly a Common False Head, Oxylides faunus

I imagine it may not be that one but I hope is still some fairy so that you can add this nice name :-)
Thanks Marta. Yes I looked at this one, but rejected it because the tails were longer and it seemed to have some orange brown on the eye. The Common False Head has shorter tails, and blue on the eyes. Lets wait and see if anyone else has any input. I like the name better - Fairy Hairstreak!
Pam, in the link it shows H. antifaunus. It looks alike but it has longer tail like prolongations than the one in your spotting. In any case, I hope this suggestion gets you closer to the ID.
