Field Notes

Description:

Pretty pale yellow butterfly with green spots and yellow veins on the underside of the wings. The upperside is also pale yellow with bright orange near the tips of the wings. The tips have black spots. The body is light gray and fuzzy.

Habitat:

Coast Sage scrub at home. This subspecies is found from southern Oregon to northern Baja California.
