Field Notes

Description:

35 crows. Mix of adults and immatures. (Immatures' mouths were red inside. When they grow up, their mouths will turn black.) Some with downy looking feathers.

Habitat:

Perched above, on and under a restaurant dumpster in city. Busy restaurant parking lot, at high noon on a sunny Friday.

Notes:

Very active. Very vocal. Dumpster lid left open. Birds perched above and below it and flying all around it. And about 15 Starlings were feeding on the ground under the crows. It was a bit of a bird party! ...interesting: as I finished typing this and started to drive away, ALL the birds but two crows were gone! No where in sight.
