Description:

Minute little creatures of a bee-like appearance.

Habitat:

Fern bank at the edge of a wooded area; backyard.

Notes:

When I first spotted these little beings, I thought they were mosquitoes. Today I saw one feeding on a zinnia; that brought me to one of my nature guides. They sure don't seem to be mosquitoes now.
