Field Notes

Description:

Tomato produces red berry like fruit that can differ in shape and size depending on variety. It has a week stem and often is supported by other plants or sprawled on the ground like a vine. The stem is pubescent and most have compound leaves. They sprout a yellow flower when pollinating.

Habitat:

Our garden is in a tropical climate so the tomato plants have been receiving a lot of sun and heat but they have grown well. We always water them when the sun is down. This way the water does not evaporate quickly.
