Description:

orange cap with marginal striations, white gills, no ring on stem, and large white, unstaining sack-like cup about base of slender stem

Habitat:

on ground in conifer forest, Telluride, Colorado

Notes:

This mushroom was mis-identified as "Amanita fulva," which differs, among other characteristics, by its brownish bruising sack-like cup about the base
