Field Notes

Description:

~1,5cm long, yellow and brown

Habitat:

Grassy meadow

Notes:

Are these juveniles of the Hotel Wall Grasshopper or a different species? They were very abundant earlier in the summer, now there are alot of the larger lime green adult grasshoppers about hopping around in the mowed lawn. These yellow individuals were completely restricted to the hip high grasses. I LOVE the way they "squirrel" to the opposite side of the grass stem when you try to photograph them!
