Greater Roadrunner

We saw this on the road ahead but as we approached it ran off across the desert. We parked the car and I followed it on foot as it kept jumping into gullies and reappearing a short way away. Eventually I got ahead of it and waited behind a bush at a likely spot and it popped out right in front of me.
