Habitat:
in sand, seagrass bed, and coral reef, normally in warm shallow waters.
Notes:
This large mollusk is harvest for its meat and shell, however it is protected in Florida. "In the United States, all takes of queen conch are prohibited in Florida and adjacent Federal waters."
