Field Notes

Description:

Small bird from Paridae family, yellow below and olive-green-blue upperparts. White head with black mask and black line on throat; with clear blue crown.

Habitat:

Blue tits are regular winter visitors, probably the most numerous ones, on ou feeders - they are also resident breeders in the area. Here, seen from my window - we live in a small rural town near Geneva, in between the Jura massif and lake Leman; and very close to the town well wooded park.

Notes:

synonym: Parus caeruleus
