Field Notes

Description:

American Robins are fairly large songbirds with a large, round body, long legs, and fairly long tail. Robins are the largest North American thrushes and are gray-brown birds with warm orange underparts and dark heads. Compared with males, females have paler heads that contrast less with the gray back.

Habitat:

American Robins are common across the North American continent.

Notes:

It's usually the first to sing at daybreak. Curiously, it's the least afraid of me as I walk around the yard trying to capture photos of visiting wildlife.
