Field Notes

Description:

Characterized by its peeling bark, long sickle shaped leafs, and large seed capsules.

Habitat:

A row of Blue gum trees planted along the edge of Goulds Lagoon bird refuge.

Notes:

One of the most popular trees for growing a privacy "hedge", as they are very fast growing. I have some in my yard that I planted as knee-high saplings that have grown to six meters in five years.
