Description:

This 'superbly' colored bird is a common sight on the roadsides of Kenya, but can also been found in the country's nature reserves (see second photograph). They forage largely on the ground but can be found perching on trees as well.

Thank you Neil Ross and Marta RubioTexeira! We only saw one species of hornbill on the trip, but it was the spectacular Southern Ground Hornbill, so I'm not complaining. :P
Oh I remember these little guys. One of my favourites. Glossies and hornbills were ever present.
