Description:

Tawny-orange & brown butterfly on the upperside, this species has blue centres in several of the black submarginal spots on the hindwings. The underside has a very complex pattern with two large eyespots towards the outer margin of the hindwings.

Habitat:

Joe-Pye weed next to a swamp.
