Field Notes

Description:

An American yellow warbler up in Alaska. These warblers are pretty neat in that they have thiry-five recognized sub-species based on male head color during the breeding season. I'm pretty sure this is a male, we're outside the breeding season.

Habitat:

Widespread in North America and winters in Central and South America.
