Length : around 5-6 m (based on the size of our speedboat).
The GPS coordinate of the sighting : 1 deg 52.825 min N, 118 deg 38.159 min E
Date : June 11, 2010
Time : 15:19 – 15:32 Central Indonesia Time

It has been identified as False Killer Whale by a cetacean expert (Dr. Benjamin Kahn).

8.4 km further north I saw around 30 Bottlenose Dolphins…feeding.

@Saint Shrike: Thx for your comments. It has been identified by a Cetacean expert as False Killer Whale.

Generic dolphin species =P At this angle, the dorsal fin looks too rounded for the bottle nose, but it could be that (they're pretty darn common and they are not usually shy of boats). Even though identifying the exact species would be hard, it could be narrowed down if you put a location and other factors such as how deep the water was (as some dolphins and porpoises prefer deep where as others are fine with fairly shallow)
