Field Notes

Description:

Small clumps of purple flower, the head is around an inch across. The leaves are long and slender. The whole plant is pretty short, only a few inches tall.

The first time I found these in a plant book I thought it was "Frog Fruit". I kinda like that name better.

Habitat:

near water
