Hi Karen and welcome to Project Noah! Is this your dog? :-) While it may be true that your dog is a "Cool black mammal", the proper scientific name for the domestic dog is Canis lupus familiaris. If you are unsure of the scientific name for an organism it's better to just leave that section blank until you are able to find out the name.
