Description:
The upper sides of this moth are reddish brown; it has an eyespot on each wing, which I almost did not get to photograph. The eyespots are blue and yellow with black rings around them.
Habitat:
Common in almost all parts of Canada and also in almost every state in the U.S., except Arizona and Nevada, according to www.butterfliesandmoths.org.
No one particular habitat.
Notes:
Adults do not feed.
