This dark anole with a line of spots down each side was at the base of a tree.

That is to compare the two only. The Brown has a shorter snout with dipped shape. The Green is angled and longer.

Brown Anoles have a light dorsal stripe. The other in the link you provided that isn't the Brown Anole is the Carolina Anole, which is not found in Mexico this far south.
