Description:
Black damselfly, about 4-5cm in length. Wings are blackish with each wing having a white band on it.
Euphaea refulgens, family Euphaeidae. Euphaeidae is a family of damselflies in the order Odonata. It is sometimes called Epallaginidae They are commonly known as Gossamerwings. It is a small family of damselflies with around 70 species. They commonly occur in Old World tropics. They are large and mostly metallic-coloured. They look similar to species of damselflies in the family Calopterygidae.

Habitat:
Makiling Botanic Gardens, a forest park of the Mt. Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (adjacent or within the UPLB-College of Forestry and Natural Resources), University of the Philippines at Los Baños, Laguna.
