Bird you frequently see with spread wings after fishing in a lake or pond. Has a very snake-like neck. Brown and Black

Habitat:

This one was in a bird preserve behind the Court house in Venice. You can see multiple nesting birds on a small island. You find it most often near or in water. Can submerge for a time.
