Description:
Two dark gray birds, perhaps one foot long with a wingspan of perhaps 1.5 feet.
Habitat:
Mid-latitude coastal urban area.
Notes:
Spotted in flight, approaching the foot of the municipal pier in Seal Beach CA from the south. I didn't have time to set up for good photos so I just pointed my phone camera in their general direction and winged it.
