Description:

Very large, smooth, roundish or oval ball-like mushroom, with pure white flesh seen when cut in half, flesh becoming yellowish-green on aging.

Habitat:

on the ground in lawns, grass and mulched areas

Notes:

a good edible when immature (pure white inside) - best cooked sliced and dredged in batter and bread crumbs
