Do these usually reside in northern Oklahoma? I thought they were more of an East Texas thing. My husbands boss hit the poor guy near where I live in Edmond Oklahoma and he went back and picked him up. He kept him overnight then took him to a sanctuary/rescue. Apparently he is doing great. He had a wonderful personality as well I must say :)
Very unlikely that this is a barn owl... their faces are more heart shaped, and I don't think I've seen any kind of barn owl with a yellow beak.
