Field Notes

Description:

Brown or green medium sized lizard. Neon yellow lines run down its back and has head and back crest.

Habitat:

Near water bodies. Likes to sunbathe in the daytime plenty of oppurtunities to spot one. In the colder months they like to dig underneath the fallen foliage to stay warm.

Notes:

Invasive. Also known as Striped Basilisk and Jesus Lizard. Runs on its hind legs, has the ability to run on water, and is a very strong swimmer.
