Field Notes

Habitat:

Usually inhabits shallow areas with sea grass beds and open bottoms having mixtures of sand, rubble, and gorgonians, but large adults live as deep as 240 feet.

Notes:

Very camouflaged, and photos did not turn out great. But I am pretty sure of ID. If anyone has a better ID don't hesitate to correct me. I've sometimes seen this fish here recently but haven't been able to photograph it as it is very good at hiding among the grass and algae.
