Description:

Some sort of True Bug found under an Oak log in Winter. There were many others exactly like it. Not sure what type of true bug it is exactly, need id.

Habitat:

Under an Oak log.

I'm pretty sure this is a bug in the family Lygaeidae. It's pretty slender to be an assassin bug, and its head and neck are too wide.
Cotton pest has vast variety and most seen around big shrubs.
Hmm that's odd, there isnt cotton farms anywhere even close.
