Field Notes

Description:

Two neat round eggs, a little more wide than tall, with small indentations in the tops. Yellowish green. On underside of leaf.

Habitat:

Wooded yard in suburban/semi-rural area. Can anyone ID the tree for me?

Notes:

I was only able to identify these as Sphingidae a couple days later, when they hatched.
