Description:

is a medium-sized species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusc. It is a close relative of the grove snail also known as the brown-lipped snail.

Related to the Grove snail (C nemoralis). C hortensis have white along the aperture (opening) where as the Grove snail has brown.
