Field Notes
Description:
A female grey crab spider about 7 mm long with long legs and a rounded abdomen. Legs were banded and grey perfectly matching the colour of a dried eucalyptus gall (Apiomorpha regularis)
Could see 6 eyes on a dark grey cephalothorax. abdomen had a mottled appearance with small circular spots.

Habitat:
Spotted on a eucalyptus tree.
Notes:
These spiders are said to hunt during the day, retreating into shelters built by folding leaf tips. They are well camouflaged on the shrubs and trees that they hunt on, like this spider that was resting stretched out on a Apiomorpha gall.
