Field Notes

Description:

Small, perhaps 10-12 cm. Seen on my walk this afternoon, flew up from near my feet to a nearby almond tree. Could not see the wings, but it appears to have two dark bars on the underside of the outer tail feathers. Have not checked all my books yet but most don't show the underside of the tail.

Habitat:

Very old arid almond orchard, was hiding in scrub.
