Field Notes

Description:

More brown than black and small scattered yellow speckles. 4-5 inches long and half an inch wide excluding the legs.

Habitat:

Underground, they come out after heavy rains to travel to a large body of water source like a pond or a lake.

Notes:

The temperature outside was in the low 50's and high 40's 15/25 degrees cooler than it's normal temperature to be out on the ground surface. Found on concrete so I put it. On a grassy muddy hill.
