Field Notes

Description:

This moth was sited at around 11:00 PM in Hythe, Alberta. It was a beige color and about 3 cm long.

Habitat:

This moth was sited in a quiet area with little traffic and noise. Besides a few houses, there was mostly grass, shrubs and trees around.

Notes:

In an attempt to attract these moths, a recipe of 1 teaspoon beer, half a teaspoon brown sugar, and 1 tablespoon apple juice was used. This syrup was then smeared onto the fabric where the moths would land.
