Field Notes

Description:

Enormous bird ( about 70cm) with big bill and horn on its bill. Black and white with a yellow and black bill, white belly and some white accents on the wingtips. It has some light blue white colouring around the eyes.

Habitat:

Pulau Ubin, Singapore, Singapore. Near mangroves, forest and a reservoir.

Notes:

First we saw them flying over the reservoir
( see spotting http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/554466007) and when we noticed some had stayed behind in a tree on our side we went to investigate. We found 4 in a tree nearby. They are very very quiet!
