Field Notes

Description:

Ok I know this looks like some kind of humming bird , but I'm nearly certain it was not a bird. About three inches long and under two inches wide, busy going from flower to flower sticking that long sword like end into each flower, and looked to have huge eyes, large abdomen, and the tail end pointed up a little, so hard to get a good shot it ever stopped moving, all brown in color with a super long beak like nose end

Habitat:

Sunny humid central Florida near lots of tiny flowering bushes
