Field Notes

Description:

This 6 mm long snipefly is smaller than R⁠hagio scolopaceus https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/1674614735 and Rhagio tringarius https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/398423034 of the same genus. The legs are mainly yellowish, with a broad brown band on the fore and hind femora. The wings are clear except for a dark stigma. The abdomen is yellow with dark spots on the tergites.

Habitat:

Well vegetated area in the forest.
