Description:

This small bee was about a 1/4 inch long.

Habitat:

I found this bee in a restored prairie along the Mississippi River in east central Minnnesota.

Notes:

I suspect it is a sweat bee (Agapostemon), but am open to suggestions.

I can rememberon hot days in W.VA when we visited my Aunt and Uncle, you had to be careful crooking your arm or you would get bitten by one of these sweat bees.
