Field Notes

Description:

The plague of the Midwest all the way to the East. Fortunately for me, I don't have the severe allergic reaction that a lot of other people do to this plant. We had a saying in my old scout troop that "Leaves of three can stay away from me". Eastern poison ivy can be either climbing as this one is or shrub like.

Habitat:

Native to most of the Eastern United States and parts of Canada.
