Field Notes

Description:

Some type of woodpecker... likely a downy or hairy? I almost walked into it before it flew off to the perch it was on in the pictures, and unfortunately it happened too fast to make any decent mental notes on its characteristics.

Habitat:

Urban

Notes:

The only woodpecker I saw or heard that morning.
