Field Notes

Description:

This type of black sea urchin has short spines and can be found near the shore or near coral reefs. They mostly feed on kelp, seaweed and other marine plants.

Habitat:

Near the shore, under rocks and crevices, and coral reefs

Notes:

Since they cant survive out of water for a long time, I needed to take pics in a fast manner to avoid killing it.
