Field Notes

Description:

This emerald colored hummer could be a ruby throated which are common around here. I know the "ruby" color is caused by light refraction and is not the color of the feathers - so that might explain the lack of a "ruby throat"?

Habitat:

Backyards

Notes:

This little guy came up to take a sip from the feeders on my fence in the backyard. I set the shutter speed and snapped a pretty good quick shot if I do say so!
