Description:

About 30mm wide in a loose group of 5 on a very large eucalyptus (E regnans?)

Habitat:

In a local nature reserve adjoining a national park.

Notes:

Also called toothed jelly fungus, false hedgehog mushroom, and white jelly mushroom. Apparently they can be candied for eating but are a bit bland. <br> http://bie.ala.org.au/species/Pseudohydnum%20gelatinosum# <br>

Wow thanks for the SOTD guys. It's good to know winter spottings can be enjoyed. Interestingly Wiki says this is found between Alaska and California... they might need to extend that range a little bit. :)
